Babauta said Steele will arrive at 6 p.m. from Guam.
Steele will meet with the officials and members of the local GOP at the Garapan Central Park in a gathering to be hosted by Babauta who is also celebrating his birthday today.
Steele is not the first Republican National Committee official to visit the CNMI.
Prior to the general elections last year, RNC state and local development director Shannon Frank Reeves stayed on Saipan for a few days and met with local Republicans.
Reeves updated local Republicans about the GOP in the states and its political plans.
The local GOP is the only CNMI party affiliated with its national counterpart.
