New member of Koror State Legislature, swears in

Francisco took her oath administered by Associate Justice Kathleen Salii at the Koror State Assembly Hall.

The swearing in was graced by his friends, family and other members of KSL.

On Wednesday, Francisco attended his first session along with the other members of the legislative body.

Francisco was elected on Sept. 6 special election against his three other contenders.

He was the successor of former legislator Timothy “Teru” Uehara who passed away in July.

Meanwhile, the Ngarchelong State Government has conducted special election yesterday in Ngriil hamlet.

According to Palau Election officer III Festus Ringang, the polling precinct opened at 7 a.m. and closed to 7 p.m. After closing time, election officers brought the polling box to Palau Election Commission and counted the vote. The result is expected to issue today by the Commission.

The special election was held to break the tie between Aderiano Noah and Dwight Ngirchemat who both got 23 votes in Ngriil hamlet during the 8th general state election held on Aug. 31

Whoever wins in the special election will occupy the one seat of eight seats in Legislature.
