Actress Minka Kelly, the former star of NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” told starpulse.com: “She should move to Guam. I’m not kidding. She should move to Guam for like a year. She’s addicted to being in front of paparazzi; if she just escaped and went somewhere where she’s not important to the paparazzi, she’d get herself better.”
This angered some Guam residents who thought that Kelly’s remarks were a testament to the ignorance of their fellow Americans about the territory.
“That is not funny and pretty sad actually. I guess the people from our mother country see us as a dumping ground,” said Yigo resident Michele Blas.
Other Guam residents found it humorous, and joked about the suggestion.
“I think she should move to Guam, but I think she will be bored because Guam has a lackluster cocaine industry,” joked Rick Nauta Hit Radio 100 disc jockey.
“And there is paparazzi on Guam,” said Nauta.
“They are just in hiding and they would probably only show up at the airport,” Nauta said adding that he would love to see Lohan, “as long as her mother doesn’t come.”
Lohan has been embroiled in legal problems stemming from alcohol and drug abuse, and may have to return to jail by Friday if she cannot convince a judge she should remain free.
