Oktoberfest celebration at the Hyatt begins

Hyatt Regency Saipan restaurant manager Seiji Shindo said that for the celebration, they have prepared sumptuous delights their clients will find hard to forget.

Executive sous chef Edgardo Olarte said two different menus will be served alternately throughout the week.

Hyatt executive chef Gabriele Colombo said  creating this year’s Oktoberfest Specials is another milestone in their service as they continue to please the palates of their customers.

“We had been offering our guests nothing but the best for the past years, and we will not stop,” he said.

Start celebrating the Oktoberfest or German Fest at the Kili Terrace with a wide selection of choices from the cold station including green salad with assorted condiments and dressings, pickled herring, tomato and onion salad, beef tongue with macaroni and vegetables in creamy mustard vinaigrette, red cabbage with apple, bacon and caraway, smoked salmon with condiments, chicken salad with pineapple and green peas, and assorted Bavarian cold cuts, sausages and cheeses.

Sample breads and pretzels baked fresh daily at the Hyatt, such as Rye bread, Bavarian bread rolls, and cheddar Jalapeño breads.

Delight in the choices from the carving station for a generous serving of roast sirloin with Julienne vegetables in creamy Demi Glace, and salt crusted salmon served with fresh dill Remoulade, or your favorites from the barbeque station which includes lobster, pork chop, assorted Bavarian BBQ sausages, potato and corn.

Highlighting the German Fest are the hot entries at the Kili Café which are the Hyatt chefs’ pride. Savor the delicious Sauerbraten mit Spatzle, or Bavarian braised beef with egg dumpling, slow roasted pork hocks basted with dark beer and Sauerkraut and boiled potato, baked stuffed Cornish hen with apple-raisin sauce, steamed codfish with thyme, basil and white wine, Bavarian vegetable casserole, shredded potato cake with bacon and onion, and rice casserole with beef, mushroom and capsicum.

Alternate menu for the hot entries include Bavarian meatloaf with onion sauce, breaded pork escalope, roast chicken with honey and mustard in beer sauce, carrot casserole, and Bavarian fish stew.

Indulge in the mouth-watering desserts to cap your dinner and delight in Hyatt’s Lager chocolate truffle, Bavarian chocolate cake, Munchner vanilla cherry pudding, apple strudel, German lemon cake, Bavarian plum cake and fruit salad with honey and sparkling wines.

Shindo said the German Fest dinners come with Becks beer, the number one selling German beer in the world.

“We are very happy to have Marpac as our partner in this event for the past years,” Shindo said.
