The S.R.C.R Radio Control club hosted a race last Sunday, October 24, 2010, at their As Lito course with two divisions which are the 1/8 nitro Stadium Truck division and the Stock short course truck deviating from last months division which were the 1/8 nitro Truggy and 1/10 electric short course class, reigning over the competition. Most competitors would like to label this sport an “R/C hobby” or “Off Road hobby”.
The first division is the 1/8 Nitro Stadium Truck. TOP QUALIFIER for the category was bagged by Rodney Catalla (TEAM ASSOCIATED RC8T) followed by Paul Salalila racing with a KYOSHO STRR annexed first place, while Rodney Catalla conquered second place racing with a TEAM ASSOCIATED RC8T, and third place went out to JoJo Saracho racing with a MUGEN MBX6T.
In the electric stock short course 2 wheel drive truck division, with a sour taste of defeat in his mouth Jojo Saracho fiercely held on to the top qualifier seat. Top contender Rodney Catalla from the Stadium Truck category placed second whilst Jojo Saracho moved one bracket up gripping second place and last but not least to cap off the top three from the tournament was third placer Jude Dickinson Jr.
The S.R.C.R Club would like to open their club to anyone interested in Race controlled cars and competitions, and that there is an active club here on island. The next race shall be posted up real soon so the committee members and officials would like for you to stay tuned..
