Dandan’s Neighborhood Task Force sign vandalized

One of the signs, which was installed near the intersection of  Airport  and Dandan roads, was vandalized recently.

Frank B. Camacho, the block captain in Dandan, said he was “outraged to learn what happened to our sign,” which read: “Dandan Village Neighborhood Watch — Stop Crime, Join Today.”

Camacho said the sign was dragged and the pole was bent.

The nearby speed limit sign was also toppled.

He said there were tire marks in the area indicating that a vehicle slammed into the signs.

Camacho has asked the Department of Public Safety to investigate and identify the culprit.

It cost them $600 to make and install the sign, he said.

“I am hoping the person responsible will come out in the open and pay the damages,” he added.

He said the task force in Dandan has been very effective in its campaign.
