Letter to the Editor: Facts or fiction on Election Day

But the fact of the matter is the election for our delegate is about our entire future in Washington and I take that very seriously. Weighing my options was relatively easy because the candidates are totally different in many ways, especially in their qualifications, which is why it was so easy for me to determine that Juan N. Babauta is our better candidate to send to Washington.

I want to thank the supporters of Mr. Camacho for offering their proof that he is supported by the governor and that he can work with the governor but the fact is he won’t have any help in Washington. The fiction is the idea that he can actually get something accomplished in Washington coming from the Covenant Party when we know the feds and politicians in both national parties don’t like our present administration and the corruption that is still ongoing.

I want to thank the supporters of Mr. Borja for providing a good argument that he is a Democrat but the fact of the matter is he may as well be an Independent because he IS NOT supported by the National Democratic Party.

This is truly a fictional argument that voters need to be aware of because Mr. Borja like Mr. Camacho won’t have any help in Congress.

As for our present delegate, I want to thank him and his supporters for offering their arguments which were more fictional than facts. One letter stated: Kilili is never late. What does tardiness have to do with turning our economy around and the many other things we need done in Washington? Fictional. Kilili does not bribe us with cases of beer? Every candidate in the race has provided beer at one time or another. Serving beer has nothing to do with getting things done in Washington. Fictional. Kilili lives a humble lifestyle. So what? How does that help me? Fiction. Kilili does not suck up to Fitial. Kilili’s job was to work with the governor not suck up. Our delegate must have the political wherewithal and diplomatic skills to work with anyone. More fiction. Kilili does not switch parties to get elected. Kilili has publicly stated himself as being a Democrat and Independent. Will the real Kilili please stand up. Kilili listens to us. If he truly listens to the people, then why didn’t he hear our cry for economic reform? Where is our economic recovery money for our economy like what Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands got? Just more fiction. Kilili brings home the bacon. We need cash, not more food and we already know he has misrepresented himself about bringing cash to the CNMI. Super fiction. Kilili is proud of his fellow islanders. If this is true then why didn’t he hire any Refaluwasch and more Chamorros? His office does not represent both local CNMI cultures and he wasn’t smart enough to hire at least one African-American as almost every person in Congress has an African-American on their staff.  Kilili also betrayed the local people when he supported the idea that alien workers would one day be voters. Fiction on top of fiction. There is more fiction than facts to support Kilili’s re-election.

Juan N. Babauta has more than proven his abilities in Washington, which is why he served three terms. His political accomplishments are far superior to the other candidates which range from the founding of our education system, growth in our tourist industry with China’s approved destination, established the free interisland calls to and from Rota and Tinian, to the founding of our present hospital as the director of Public Health and there is a whole lot more if voters will get informed as I have.  He has so many accomplishments the editor won’t let me list them all. Juan N. Babauta has more political, legislative and federal funding accomplishments than all the other candidates put together in his 20 years of public service.  The other candidates don’t even come close to comparing with Mr. Babauta’s experience and accomplishments.

Based on the facts, Mr. Babauta is the best candidate for the CNMI given the many weaknesses of the other candidates that are factual. It is a fact that we can’t afford to send anyone with less experience and far fewer accomplishments who won’t have any official help in the Congress.  Mr. Babauta has done something that has never been done before in delivering an entire party to the aid of the CNMI and voters need to take advantage of the support being offered the CNMI by the National Republican Party.  We cannot afford to refuse the National GOP’s help in the U. S. Congress based on the fictional arguments of the other candidates.  All voters need to cast their votes based on the facts that prove Juan N. Babauta is the better candidate and not the fictional hope offered by the other candidates. Biba Juan and Biba Commonwealth!
