Germinaro was arrested with Julita A. Sablan and Roque Norita, both of whom pleaded not guilty to “ice” trafficking.
Germinaro pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, the prosecution said.
Germinaro signed the plea agreement on Friday, together with his counsel, Colin M. Thompson, while Assistant U.S. Attorney James J. Benedetto represented the federal government.
U.S. District for Court for the NMI Designated Judge David Wiseman did not allow Germinaro, Sablan and Norita to post bail.
The plea agreement stated that from Aug. 2008 through Feb. 2009, Germinaro “knowingly conspired” with Sablan and Norita, and others to distribute “ice.”
The sentencing range for Germinaro was between six to 12 months, and a fine between $2,000 to $20,000, the plea agreement stated.
Drug Enforcement Administration special agent Daniel G. Holcomb stated in his affidavit that between Aug. 2008 and July 2009, Germinaro, Sablan, and Norita “knowingly and willfully conspired and agreed together” to possess and distribute “ice.”
Sablan “was at all times the source of supply” of “ice,” Hoclomb stated.
Norita and Germinaro “were retail sellers, runners, intermediaries and lieutenants” of Sablan, Holcomb added.
Germinaro agreed to cooperate with the U.S. government, the DEA, and other law enforcement agencies in connection with his activities, the plea agreement stated.
