Peter Gaymann, General Manager of Neco Plaza and Jessica Delbert, Five Star Wholesale Foods Manager and the company’s chief Accountant Andy Ramos handed the donations yesterday morning to Headstart Director Eydeline Ikeya Administrative Officer Lynn Takawo and Nutrition Coordinator Erina Telmetang.
The management donated one box of ground beefs, two boxes of can goods, two boxes of cereals and one box of fresh apples.Gaymann said they decided to donate food supplies to Headstart after reading the news that the school was burglarized twice last week and some food items were stolen.He said he felt bad for the children because it’s them who will be most affected with the absence of foods.“It’s really disappointing to hear some guys stole the kids’ foods. I really felt bad because my grandson used to go there,” he said adding he is hoping for the immediate arrest of the suspect (s).Ikeya on the other hand thanked Neco Plaza management and the Five Star Wholesale Foods for the donations.“We appreciate Mr. Gaymann’s donation, it’s very helpful for us after seeing our dilemma. I hope this will not happen again in our center. We also would like to thank the parents who also donated foods to us. We are very fortunate to have donations to replace our foods so that children will not suffer again,” Ikeya said.The Bureau of Public Safety has no leads yet on the suspect. The incident was reported to the police on September 24 and September 25.The burglar managed to gain entry to the Headstart in Ngerbeched through the window and stole frozen ground beefs, cereals, eggs, milk and can goods.
