A man called and reported that someone broke into their store through a window and stole $30 worth of can goods and $50 from a cash register.At 2 pm on Tuesday, another man called police and reported that an unidentified man went to their residence in Meyas and stole six pack of beer and fled the scene.Attempted burglaries and thefts were also reported on Tuesday afternoon.A woman called and reported that a man went to their residence in Airai and attempted to harvest betel nut but was stopped by one of the residents.The suspect picked up a rock and threw it to the resident who accosted him and fled at once.A resident of Idid also reported Tuesday night that someone went to their residence and attempted to break in but failed. The suspect fled afterwards.Someone also climbed up to the stairs of a residence in Idid but fled at once upon seeing that there are still people around the house.The police report indicated that the suspect’s face was covered with a cloth.An unidentified person also broke the sliding glass door of an office in Ikesiil but fled towards the boonie area afterwards.
