This gave the Diamond Fixers and even the powerhouse, Star Water the best reason to worry about their spot in the league as playoff dates closes in.
With Mark Mendoza and Noel David control of most games, the Archers squeezed themselves through a narrow tunnel when matched with Star Water and Fixers in the early part of the season.
Their attempt to hit the top four went pfft when Club Wonderful joined the fray and beat them last month.
Last Wednesday, Edmark Mendoza unleashed his rage and riddled San Roque with 15 of his 31 points to help the Archers take the lead in the final quarter.
Day Danipog who went dormant in the first half and third quarter rampaged with eight points while Noel David who had worked along side Mendoza added six of his 17 points to help the Archers secure their 85-65 victory.
Earlier in the first half, Gil Gapor and McLane Achas controlled the offense and established an eight-point lead for San Roque.
The Archers outscored San Roque in the third quarter bringing the game into 52-52 deadlock.
PTC 70, Chinatown 58
Pacific Trading Co., continued its campaign to clinch the top five by beating Chinatown, 70-58.
Perry Inos Jr., scored 29 points as he bombarded Chinatown with six consecutive two-point shots in the final quarter. This was how he started in the game although Alex Lauron led the rally firing 11 of his 23 points.
Chinatown bounced back as Roger Herrera sizzled with 10 of his 20 points in the second quarter and Dick Tibayan contributed seven points in the second quarter. Their tightened defense also limited PTC’s score to five points.
But Inos kept the surge and picked up fouls to add three points from penalty shots.
Jojo Garon and Art Trajano added eight and six points respectively to help PTC protect the lead.
