12th Youth Congress election winners certified

“I wish all the new officers a successful term,” said Camacho after signing the election results.

Seven were elected from the same number of precincts will 18 represent the schools and Northern Marianas College.

The youth senators-elect are Bianca Kabua Blanco of Grace Christian Academy which had 44 voters, Yong Hwa Choi of Marianas Baptist Church with 27 voters, Ryanne Veronica Palacios Camacho of Mount Carmel School with 53 voters, Sunny Frank Aldan of Northern Marianas Academy with 19 voters, Annie Cotero Camacho of Saipan International School with 13 voters, Jesselyn Rachel B. Dris and Ashley B. Hofschneider of Kagman High School with 40 voters, Antonette C. Cruz, Alana May Leon Guerero, Yuri Romolor and Kristen Nicole Salas of Marianas High School with 628 voters, Masako Maria Atalig of Rota High School with eight voters, Shelane DLC. Borja and Yoshihiro Garcia Yagi of Saipan Southern High School with 262 voters, and Marisa Dosalua Untalan of Tinian High School with 47 voters.

Victoria P. Aldan, Blaren Castro and Amanda Rae Johnson will represent Northern Marianas College which had 67 votes and not 68 as earlier reported.

The winners from the precincts are Carl John T. Tabucol, Adeleyah Charlotte Mojica, Seong Bin Lee, Joseph Donovan Yamanda, Jessamin Santos, Raena Pangelinan Cing and SueAnn I Waguk.

The youth senators-elect will be sworn in on Nov. 21.

Youth Congress coordinator Roz Leon Guerero said the 67 turnout in this year’s election was a “big jump” compared to the figure in 2008.

The previous years’ turnout was consistently low.
