The faithful said their devotion to St. Jude is a reflection of the ability of ordinary people to call upon their faith in overcoming seemingly impossible odds in their daily lives.
The celebration started at 7:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 8 a.m. and a procession.
It ended with a feast at the church grounds.
“A lot of people came this year,” said Fr. Charlie Borja, St. Jude parish priest.
The following are the upcoming church activities in line with the Catholic liturgical calendar:
• All Saints Day, Nov. 1. There will be Masses at St. Jude at 6, 8, and 10 a.m.
• All Souls Day, Nov. 2. “There will be a Mass at the Mt. Carmel cemetery at 4:30 p.m. and people are encouraged to attend,” Borja said.
