Ada scored 20 points and helped protect the lead all the way to take the 69-54 victory during the final half of last Wednesday’s game of the Saipan Rotary Club Youth Basketball League at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
With Matthew Duenas backing him up, Ada put up the strong lead in the first half.
Savali Talalemoto, however managed to pick up in the second half. He continued the surge and sizzled with half of his 27 points to cut the lead to two points.
Ada went back to the court after a brief rest and burst with two-pointers to widen the gap again, then, the Sixers never looked back.
Duenas chipped in 16 points.
Helping Talalemoto was Jon Norita who contributed 16points in a losing cause.
670 Rollers 45, Runnin’ Rebels 44
During the second game, Kroy Ogo fired 10 markers as he led the 670 Rollers defeat the Runnin Rebels, 45-44.
The game went too close from the very start as Runnin’ Rebels traded inside plays with the 670 Rollers.
With Ogo leading the attack, the 670 Rollers refused to give in as kept the slim advantage through the second period and won the game.
Juan Iguel led the Rebels scoring with 11points.
