Bureau of Public Safety Director Norvert Yano identified the victim as Sobichi Suhari, 27, an Indonesian national and employed at PITI fishing company.
Yano said the victim was found dead inside a fishing boat by a roommate.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was last seen alive at 10 pm on Saturday.
Yano said the victim got up from sleep at 10 pm and drank something.
The Director said the victim went back to sleep later.
The victim’s roommate was awakened later by a noise.
When the roommate went out and checked, he saw the victim on the boat and was already unconscious.
The Director said they are wondering why it took the roommate some time to call the police for assistance.
He said the incident was only reported at 3:45 am but the discovery of the victim’s body happened earlier than that.
Police suspected that the victim died of natural death because investigation revealed that the victim had been experiencing seizure problem.
Yano said an autopsy has yet to be conducted to determine the victim’s cause of death.
