“[The position of] marketing representative is not a job reserved for U.S. citizens,” Kaipat said in an e-mail to the Variety.
Li, 42, was a garment worker before working as a “marketing representative” of the Kannat Tabla Shooting Range with Agustin Deleon Guerrero listed as his employer.
The Department of Public Safety earlier described Li as “allegedly the caretaker of the shooting range” that “has been closed for operation earlier this year.”
Over the weekend, three of Li’s victims were buried.
Five-year-old Vince Larry Deleon Guerrero Rosario II was buried at the Chalan Kanoa Cemetery on Friday.
The remains of Enrique Naputi, 26, and his daughter Corina, who turned one-year-old last February, were interred on Saturday, also at Chalan Kanoa Cemetery.
Enrique Naputi’s daughter Dolores, turned four during the incident, is recuperating from a gunshot wound to her chest.
The body of Richard Naputi Borja Jr. will be flown to Tinian today and buried on the next day, according to a relative.
