Palacios lifts Island Rebels past Man Amigos, 9-8

It was Oscar’s fourth HR since the Chamolinian league opened. His two earlier home runs helped Island Rebels gain first victory in their first game against the G-Ballers last week.

A show down of run-scoring home runs ensued last Monday after the opposing teams held each other scoreless in four straight innings.

Manny Sablan handed Man Amigos their first run as he led off the fifth inning with a solo homer and Joe Torres sacrificed a run to put up the lead.

Byron Kaipat retaliated with a solo home run over the center fielder.

Mitch Aaron and BJ Attao both singled before Oscar Sablan with only one out, took the lead with a three-run home run.

The Island Rebels had three more base hits and went past Man Amigos with two runs.

Both teams secured the field to keep each other scoreless again in the sixth inning.

Man Amigos took the one-run lead as Peter Sablan rocketed a three-run home run. JJ Laniyo pulled Man Amigos farther away with a solo home run and Mel Tenorio had an RBI single to stretch the lead.

Craig Sanchez singled and the Island Rebels needed only two runs to tie the game. Oscar Sablan made this happen before Martin Naputi singled and Palacios drove him in for the winning run with a single.

Sanchez lasted seven innings on the mound and struck out three.

6-Pack 20, Blazers 19

The game between 6-Pack and the Blazers went neck-and-neck with batsmen of both teams exchanged base hits to force an extra inning.

The tension-filled ball game ended with Blas Magofna driving-in the winning run with his single and 6-Pack prevailed.

Mike Pangelinan drove-in two and rounded the bases himself as he landed the ball over the fence for the first home run of the game.

Frank Babauta had an RBI triple before Mel Aldan drove-in run with sacrifice fly to help 6-Pack set the lead in the first inning.

Ray Quitano helped the Blazers trimmed down the lead with an RBI single in the top of the second inning. Then, they tightened the defense in the bottom of second holding 6-Pack scoreless.

Ralph Mangofna hit a run-scoring single and Joe Lifoifoi had an RBI double to take the lead in the third inning.

Lucian George tripled in the bottom of the third for 6-Pack, scored run on an error from left the field and with two outs, Mel Aldan drove-in a run with a single to tie the game.

Rodney Lifoifoi tripled for the Blazers in the top of the fourth Ralph Mangofna fired his second RBI single to take control of the game again.

Kadisang made it right away to the scoring spot in the bottom of the fourth and Lucian George sent him home with a single.

Dan Repeki tripled too, and Blas Magofna drove-in run with sacrifice bat to tie the game for the third time.

6-Pack pitcher Blas Magofna gave up two hits only one of which drove-in a run in the top of the fifth inning, and on their turn to the batting plate, Kadisang and Frank Camacho both had an RBI single to put the team back on its feet.

But the Blazers scored three runs to race away again in the sixth inning, and 6-Pack could only cut the lead by one run on Blas Magofna sacrifice bat.

The Blazers stretched the lead again in the two-run seventh inning.

Frank Camacho and Josh drove-in runs with their single and Kadisang sacrificed to tie the game one more time, 18-18.

Back on the mound in the extra inning, Magofna did not allow a single hit but the Blazers still scored a run on a sacrifice bat for the third out.

Lucian George singled and Mike Pangelinan drove him to tie the game before Magofna singled for the winning run.

Team Familia 21, Ramblers 14

From an 11-2 deficit, Team Famila rampaged in the bottom of the fourth inning and beat the Ramblers by two runs leading to their 21-14 victory.

With Ton Pangelinan knocking-in a three-run homer, the Blazers were pounding Team Famila in the top of the fourth.

Joey Camacho singled and Chris Alepuyo singled, then, Reynard Aranda hit an RBI single.

John Guerrero lined to the first base on a right fielder’s error before Shane Mendiola and JB Babauta fired run-scoring singles and AG Ucher connected a two-run double.

Ryan Ada Singled and Collin Reyes drove him in on a fielder’s choice and Yubert Alepuyo had an RBI double.

The Ramblers scored only three runs in the sixth inning, as Team Familia’s four-run fifth inning and three-run sixth ended their hope to bounce back.
