The Garapan students gathered near the stage at 8 a.m. to watch a performance of the theatre club.
“What we normally do every time we do a musical is we take an island tour to different elementary schools,” said Galvin S. Deleon Guerrero, the director of the club’s recent production of “Winter’s Tale.”
The theatre club started with Thomas Newman’s “Under the Umbrella,” which was the main score for the film “Little Women.”
They sang a Christmas medley and two more Christmas songs.
“We did ‘Silent Night,’ a classic, and we did a modern rock classic ‘All I want for Christmas is You,’ originally sang by Mariah Carey and we concluded with ‘Amazing Grace,’ ” Deleon Guerrero said.
The Garapan students enjoyed the performance.
“We understand that not everyone is going to see the [production] and perhaps not everyone can afford it so it’s our way of bringing a little Christmas cheer to the community,” Deleon Guerrero said.
