Hard Rock Café Saipan Operations Manager Rey Perez said that they will host a countdown party starting from 10:30 p.m. and until dawn tomorrow.
Perez said their countdown party — “Win a Rockin’ Trip to Hard Rock Café Japan” — will include a raffle drawing for two round trip tickets to Japan and dinner for two at the Hard Rock Café in Japan.
“We invite everybody to come to the party tomorrow and join us in welcoming the New Year,” Perez said.
A minimum purchase of $10 entitles a guest to one raffle ticket to be drawn right after the countdown.
“Grab the chance to rock from dusk till dawn on New Year’s Eve with the music of DJ Rock and a live acoustic performance,” Perez said.
More prizes are at stake in the raffle draws and games, he said.
The sponsor for the event is Miller Lite.
At the Hyatt Regency Saipan, Yulia Camacho said they will be having the New Year countdown in the lobby starting 10 p.m. up to 2 a.m.
“We will have a party with our band playing and the fireworks display will be at the garden at midnight,” Camacho said.
The Aqua Resort Saipan will hold its New Year countdown and party at the hotel poolside.
Food and beverage director Peding Sablan said they will have the countdown, the fireworks and games at the hotel poolside.
“Dinner guests can join the bingo games and we have attractive prizes at stake,” Sablan said.
Dinner is $60 for adults and $40 for children, with a 20 percent discount for local residents.
Sablan said non-dinner guests can still view the fireworks but they have to pay a $10 entrance to get to the poolside. Drinks and appetizers are available.
“We have prepared fire dances, magic shows and entertainment shows for our guests,” she said. The countdown party will start at 10:30 p.m. and the fireworks show will be at midnight,” she added.
On New Year’s Day, Sablan said they are offering the “hangover buffet” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at $25 per person, less 20 percent for local residents.

The Palms Resort Saipan has not scheduled any firework display but it will hold a countdown party at the Paupau Bar and Terraces starting from 10 p.m.
