IN a time when economic diversity and innovation are essential for the future of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, EUCON International University is proud to announce the official approval of its new Golf Management concentration under the Bachelor of Business Administration program.

This strategic addition was approved by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools or TRACS on June 6, 2025, following a rigorous review process and board-level endorsement on March 20, 2025. This milestone reflects EUCON’s ongoing commitment to aligning its educational programs with the real and growing needs of CNMI.

“This is more than just an academic concentration,” said Dr. Christian Wei, president of EUCON. “It is a step toward economic renewal. Golf has long been a part of Saipan’s tourism identity. By preparing students to manage and grow the golf industry, we are equipping them to rebuild one of CNMI’s most promising economic sectors.”

EUCON believes that education must serve the greater good. The Golf Management program is designed not only to attract aspiring professionals from CNMI and abroad but also to revitalize the tourism sector, provide career pathways for local students, and offer tentmaking opportunities for international graduates from closed or restricted-access nations.

This initiative is part of a broader vision at EUCON to promote investment and growth in Saipan. The university is actively inviting global investors and developing new programs aimed at driving regional development. Golf — once a thriving industry in the islands — is now poised for a comeback, and EUCON is proud to play a key role in that story.

“We are doing our part to assist the CNMI’s economic recovery,” said Dr. Wei. “By creating relevant and visionary programs, we empower the next generation and invite others to build alongside us.”

As EUCON continues to cultivate partnerships and create opportunities for the people of CNMI, this new academic concentration serves as a symbol of hope, innovation, and shared progress.
