Jace Pineda brought Matansa to the upper ground with a goal midway to the half time break and Madison Smith ended Paire’s hope to bounce back as she hit the second goal from the right corner.
The Paire however, did not make it easy for the Matansa to win.
With Maryana Grimlich and Zoe Jewell leading the nine-person squad the Paire girls defended their territories well and had a number of times making it to the scoring positions.

In the boys’ division however, the Matansa Boys were having it the other way.
MP United held the Matansa Boys scoreless and pounded them with eight goals.

The Paire Boys and Independent Boys ended the game in 1-1 tieleading the preliminary rounds to a point system.
Delbert Aguon fired the first goal in the 25th minute of the first half, then, the younger Independents defended their territory all the way to the half time break.
But in the 13th minute of the second half, Joseph Li tied the game.
