Pastries that were sold included oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, ginger snaps, pastillas, brownies and lantiyas.
Each were sold for $1 and less.
According to NMC, the bake sale proceeds will help pay for the employees’ holiday celebration at the Pacific Islands Club on Dec. 18.
“The purpose of the holiday celebration party is to give employees a chance to come together as a family, to look back and celebrate the past year’s accomplishments as well as to renew and reenergize our NMC spirit for the New Year,” the college’s announcement stated.
Some students interviewed by this reporter gave positive feedback regarding the bake sale.
“Everything is so yummy,” said a student who bought cookies.
She said supporting the bake sale was like giving the NMC employees a Christmas treat.
