Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo imposed a $60,000 bail each on Yi Ming Xu, a.k.a. Taz, and Guiying Mo.
Xu and Mo were arrested by DPS’s Drug Enforcement Task Force and Tactical Response Enforcement Team by virtue of a seizure and arrest order on Friday.
Raided was the couple’s residence in San Antonio.
DPS spokesman PO2 Eric David said Mo was arrested while in the act of flushing the controlled substance in the toilet.
Police said they recovered transparent Ziplock bag containing “ice” in the toilet.
Yesterday, Xu and Mo appeared for their initial appearance before Govendo.
Assistant Public Defender Mike Brown represented the two, while Assistant Attorney General George Hasselback represented the government.
The court issued the search and arrest orders after finding probable cause that Xu and Mo committed “ice” trafficking and possession of controlled substance.
Controlled purchases were effected on Dec. 2 and 4, wherein authorities recorded the drug deal and bought “ice” worth $100 and $50 from Xu through a “cooperating source.”
Detective Norman Rasiang filed his declaration of probable cause and complaint against Mo and Associate Judge Ramona Manglona ordered her arrest.
Authorities also seized a government-issued chainsaw at the residence.
Police said the seized chainsaw might have been stolen and later found its way to Xu in exchange for “ice.”
