Both Teregeyo and Bernardo poured-in eight of their 27 points in the first quarter and went on to protect the lead through out the game for their 79-69 victory.
Wowee Abuel, Andres Estolas and James Lee set up a stiff defense to keep Docomo on the upper ground.
Abuel maneuvered the ball with his long distance passes as Docomo penetrators run into perfect spots for quick two-pointers. Despite CPA’s aggressive defense, he always had options left and right as Docomo always had inside players running-in from both sides of the court.
Estolas also did not run out of kill zone from outside the arc earning him four three-pointers to finish with 18 points.
Leo Apelo scattered 15 of his 27 points in the first half for CPA in an attempt to close-in but Docomo’s Bernardo with support from Abuel and Estoles stretched the lead towards the third quarter.
Kirk Schuler and Chris Camacho brought CPA back on its feet cutting Docomo’s lead down to one-point halfway to the final quarter.
However, Estolas saw shots twice at long-range and converted the six-point play to help Docomo hang on to their lead.
Teregeyo rampaged in the fourth quarter while Estolas fired his final three-pointer and Docomo secured their victory.
