Brisk sales at Christmas Art Exhibit

The Council for Arts and Culture opened its month-long Island Artists and Christmas Craft Exhibit on Dec. 3, and it ends on Dec. 31.

“We are inviting the community to come and buy the products on display by our local artists for the remaining days of the exhibit,” Yobei said.

The exhibit is held at the Arts Council gallery on Capital Hill.

It features crafts, paintings, Christmas ornaments, handmade jewelry and other items.

There are also special craft demonstrations by the artists themselves.

Besides the Christmas Exhibit, the Arts Council also hosts the Women’s Exhibit in March, and the Pacifica Arts and Cultural Exhibit in September.

Registration for these exhibits is free and all proceeds go to the artists.
