DPW Safety Officer 1 Bernardo Cruz has been on sick leave since the assault incident at the department’s work premises last month.
His personal doctor at Pacific Medical Center provided him with a doctor-illness slip as proof that he has been seen by a physician.
He said he is going to be all right but will report to work “only after DPW addressed my complaint.”
Cruz on Wednesday said the Department of Public Safety and DPW had yet to act on his complaint.
