The winners were chosen by text votes sent through IT&E. A total of 22, 538 votes were received for all the contestants from Dec. 4, 2009 up to Jan. 17, 2010.
Musngi and Tenorio won certificates, $100 cash from Glimpses of Saipan, and a camera phone courtesy of IT&E.
Nia Ada Wright won two of the three special awards — Best Smile and the Cutest Pose. Alyson Red V. Camacho was named the Best in Eco-Friendly Attire.
Tenorio is the third child in a brood of four siblings. Tenorio’s mother and her grandmother Connie told the Variety that as young as two years old, the little girl already showed interest in modeling.
“When she turned five in October last year, we had a mini-fashion show where my granddaughter modeled before us. We are very proud of her,” Tenorio’s grandma said. Tenorio is a student at the Head Start Center in Garapan.
Musngi has one elder brother.
Asked what he was planning to do with the $100 prize, Musngi said he is going to buy toys and a toy train.
Musngi goes to the Head Start Center in Chinatown.
