Mass of thanksgiving

The Novena to the Holy Spirit starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday and there will be no 6 p.m. Masses on that day.

But there will be a 3 p.m. Eucharistic Celebration at  Mount Carmel Cathedral.

“It is a jubilee year, a time for thanksgiving and a time of praise,” said Fr. Ryan Jimenez, chancellor of the diocese.

“All the different parishes will be present,” said Fr. Ike Ayuyu.

Other members of the clergy from Rota, Saipan, Tinian, and Guam as well as all parochial and ministry teams will join the celebration.

Church dignitaries will also be present.

“For the Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, Archbishop Charles Balvo, the pope’s representative, will be arriving. He and Archbishop Anthony Apuron of Guam will be with us,” Jimenez said.
