“This is a time to remember the time we accepted God in our hearts,” said Father Nonoy Recaido who celebrated the Mass.
During the recital of vows, Recaido asked the faithful to reject sin, Satan and other evil doings.
He said this renunciation is a way of reaffirming one’s loyalty to Christianity.
In his homily, Recaido asked the faithful to go to church every Sunday.
He urged them to remember their obligations to the church and to God.
He said it is not right to visit the church only during christenings, weddings or funerals.
He shared a homily about how some monkeys were baptized but were never seen again in church.
“We are not monkeys, therefore we should not act like one,” he said.
