Event organizer Sharmaine Casquero said the 10 finalists will be presented to the public during the talent show at Hard Rock Café in Garapan on Feb. 6.
“The candidates will be presented in their swimwear and the event will be aired live on Power 99 radio station,” Casquero said.
The 10 finalists were selected from a list of applicants during two screening schedules.
The contest will be the pre-Valentine presentation of Hard Rock Café.
“This is a charitable event and a part of the proceeds from the show will be given to support the Marianas Island Nature Alliance in CNMI,” Casquero said.
The event aims to spread awareness among young people on island to participate and be involved in environmental issues, she added.
A candidate must be single, 18 to 26 years old, at least 5’3 in height, at least a high school graduate, with a pleasing personality and good moral character, and a strong advocate for the environment.
The coronation night on Feb. 12 will include a fashion show featuring the candidates wearing costumes made from recycled materials, formal wear and other attires.
The entrance fee will be $10, inclusive of one drink.
