During a brief courtesy call on Yap Gov. Sebastian Anefal and Lt. Gov. Tony Tareg, Terasawa said he is pleased to make the visit to Yap. He also conveyed greetings from Japan ambassador to the FSM.
Anefal took the opportunity to welcome Terasawa to Yap and said the visit is a good indication and affirmation of the friendship between Japan and the FSM.
He also shared support of the ongoing grassroots projects in the state including a piggery project and the fisheries development project extended by the government of Japan.
Anefal highlighted tourism as an area of potential cooperation between Japan and Yap.
He said Yap is situated in a closer proximity to Japan and in between Palau and Guam. It would be suitable for Japanese tourist visiting Palau to include Yap in their plans.
