Power outage on Sunday in Kagman

For the safety of the linemen, a power outage is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. as they address the main primary lateral to Phase 4.

The primary line will be re-energized and the line crew will focus on laterals throughout the remainder of the day and will only interrupt power to the respective laterals to perform the necessary repairs.

This maintenance project will involve the replacement of 76 deteriorated pole top pins along with other pole hardware. Extensive corrosion as a result of exposure to the elements requires these replacements to reinforce the circuit.

Due to the consistent ocean salt spray in the Kagman area, the new replacement pole top pins are constructed with fiberglass shafts and are expected to be more dependable under the conditions.

CUC apologizes for any inconvenience the power interruptions may impose on the community and its customers and will continue to work diligently to minimize future interruptions.
