Maria Decherong, PEC Administrative Specialist, saidthe Commission will hold a meeting to finalizewhich placein Airai could be accessible to the voters.
The Airai state has 1,274 registered voters. However, 1,650 poll ballots are being printedto be used during the election.
Incumbent Gov. Victory n”Vicky” Ngiratkakl Kanai remainsto be the only candidate for the gubernatorial seat.
The Sonsorol State special election meanwhile will be held at the PEC office.
“Since the Sonsorol has a few voters, the election will probably hold it at the office.”Decherong said in an interview.
The State of Sonsorol has only 194 registered voters and four hamlets.
PEC will conduct the special election on Feb. 23 in Sonsorol state to fill the seat vacated by Agnes Esiwini whoresigned last October 2009 from the legislature due to health reasons.
She was elected during the State election on February 28, 2008and served more than one year before she left her post.
Decherong said Eswinialready left the country.
Meanwhile, John Nestor is the lone candidate for the legislature seat.
