Kagman I block captain Glenn Dikito yesterday said Rep. Frederick P. Deleon Guerrero, Ind.-Saipan, was impressed with their campaign for peace and development.
He said the freshman lawmaker assured their group that he will help implement its programs.
This week, Dikito said his group and block captain Eric M. Magofna, Kagman High School vice principal, met with school staff, teachers and parents in separate meetings.
“The turnout of participants was very impressive, and many have expressed their willingness to get involved in the task force,” he said.
During the meeting, Dikito said many reported that their houses have been burglarized.
Dikito said they are planning to get the support of the priest of the Santa Soledad Mission Parish Church to help disseminate information regarding their program.
On March 3, he said their group will meet to discuss their plans for Kagman.
He said they need eight block captains for Kagman III and five for Kagman II.
Dikito and Magofna represent Kagman I.
With the activation of the task force, Dikito said, their group is confident that the crime rate in Kagman will be reduced if not eradicated.
