Organized by the International University Sports Federation, the forum is a biennial gathering of university students, staff, and senior figures involved in university sport from around the world.
The forum offers delegates from all nations the opportunity to compare university sport programs within different countries, and discuss the role of FISU and its sporting programs.
Each day will feature conference-style discussions, workshops and presentations as well as cultural excursions.
Further information about the forum can be found at http://www.universiadavigo.com.
The scholarships will include round-trip air fare, meals, lodging, and registration fees.
One for male student and one for female student, the scholarships will be awarded by OUSA from nominations submitted by its member countries. Each OUSA member country can nominate one make student and one female student.
NMASA is a member of FISU and its Oceania Zone, OUSA.
All full-time students at any college university, including Northern Marianas College who are CNMI residents are eligible to compete for these scholarships.
Copies of the application form are available from NMASA on request. To make a request, please send an email message to NMASA at [email protected]. The application form will be sent by return email. The application includes a 750-word essay explaining why the applicant should represent OUSA at the FISU Forum.
A copy of a current valid passport, proof of CNMI residence, and proof of full-time student status are also required.
