David P. Diaz, the community service officer of the speaker’s office, said the donation is for the beautification program of Mayor Donald G. Flores.
Guangdong Hardware general manager David Gan personally turned over the donated items to the mayor’s office.
Diaz said the mayor’s office received 14 gallons of paint and painting materials like brushes and rollers.
The House of Representative received 10 gallons of paint which will be used for repainting the San Antonio basketball court.
Diaz said the mayor’s office will repaint bus stops and other structures as part of its beautification project on Saipan.
On behalf of all Precinct 1 House members, Rep. Eliceo D. Cabrera wrote a letter to Gan to express their gratitude, Diaz said.
“He used to play basketball in San Antonio,” Diaz said, referring to Gan.
