More kids showing up at Spring Break camp

Shiela Anglie Jude Torrevillas-Agpoa said that compared to last year’s attendance they are expecting to see a bigger number of children this time. Unlike last year, she said they now reach out to schools to invite younger students.

Agpoa, a certified swim instructor, said the Spring Break Camp that started since 2006, serves as the children’s “get away” during school breaks.

The Spring Break Camp, she said has a recreation program that makes the school break worth the wait for local children.

Aside from sports activities, water adventure, indoor games and arts workshop, this year’s Spring Break will also have a water safety lessons for the children, thanks to the NMI Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Since last Monday, Agpoa said 21 boys and girls have been signing in for the two-week recreation camp.

The Kids College Spring Break Quest 2010 is high lighting the event.

The first session started last Monday and will continue until April 2 when the participants will have fun in Easter Egg Hunt. The second session will be from April 5 to April 9.

Drop-off time will be at 8:30 am and pick-up time will be at 4:30 pm.

Camp fee is $100/week or $25/day. Includes Water Park, lunch and snacks.

Camp programs include Water Safety quest, sports Quest, Aqua Adventure quest, Island Coconut quest and arts & crafts.
