Details of the competition
Art Categories: 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional Works of Art (i.e. visual works of art, sculptures, ceramics, traditional crafts, etc.) Must be original works. No computer or digital submissions accepted.
Open Competition: Ages 18 – older; and
K-12 Competition: Grades Kindergarten through 12th
Competition purpose: To promote and support CNMI Art Education and CNMI local artists Awards: A panel of judges (CNMI business and government leaders) will select the winning works of art (both the Open and K-12 Competitions are eligible for these awards) Best of Show: $2,500 First Prize: $1,500 Second Prize: $1,000 Third Prize: $ 500

K-12 entries: (Must be submitted through student’s teacher) One winning entry from each grade level (K-12) will receive $25. Each teacher will select the best 3 from their classroom to be submitted for judging. (The classroom of each winning student will receive $100 store credit for school supplies at a local office supply). *All K-12 and winning Open Competition entries and all rights thereto become the exclusive property of Bridge Capital.
Competition Requirements
• All artists entering the competition must have continually resided in the CNMI for not less than one (1) year
• Maximum 2 entries per person (other than K-12)
• Each entry must be accompanied by the Bridge Capital Art Competition Entry Form and state the Artist’s Name, Age, Address and Phone Number (for K-12 submissions, also include School Name/Teacher’s Name/Grade Level)
• Bridge Capital also reserves the right to purchase a select number of non-winning art pieces and their rights at prices to be negotiated with the artists
Submission deadline:
Noon-April 19, 2010 (late entries will not be accepted)
Competition result date: April 23, 2010 — Winners will be notified by April 23, 2010 and will be invited to Bridge Capital’s
New Office Building Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on April 24, 2010 where the winning entries will be on display.
