Koror State Youth Council representatives take oath of office

The swearing in was administered by Associate Justice Honorable Lourdes F. Materne and witnessed by members of 9th Koror State Legislature and guests.

The Koror State Youth Council, Inc. (KSYC) comprises of 12 hamlets youth representative, they were appointed by the Hamlet Representatives of the Koror State Legislature.

The mission of KSYC is to establish essential programs that promote the spirit of nationalism and patriotism, including but not limited to the development and encouragement of safe, health and enjoyable passage through the youth period.

They are also tasked to develop strategies to maximize spiritual, mental, physical, social and cultural health fitness for the youth through sports, scouting community service projects and cultural awareness programs.

Kenny Reklai of Medalaii is the president of KSYC while Kei’ili MIkel of Ngermid is the Vice president; Dexter Sadang of Meyuns is the Floor leader, Klerang Karmelong of Ngerkesouaol, Secretary; and Ramsey Ngiraibai of Meketti is the Treasurer.

Meanwhile, the members are: Shellne Dolmers of Ngerchemai, Gillham Obeketang of Iyebukel, Olesau Koshiba, Idid; Daisy Ngeltengat, Ikelau; Chiba Shiro, Ngerkebesang; and Kelitang Nabors of Dngeronger.

The representative seat of Ngerbeched hamlet is vacant. According to KSYC president Reklai the appointed representative has declined, however, it will be filled next week.

The KSYC has two years to serve the council.
