This April, AMIM will hold a general assembly to, among other things, finalize the guidelines for the scholarship program, Diaz said.
The scholarship will be funded by the annual membership dues and Saipan was allocated $1,000 for the program.
Diaz said $500 will be given to a qualified Northern Marianas College student while the rest will go to a student with the Northern Marianas Trades Institute.
But he said AMIN still has to resolve certain issues with its scholarship program.
Originally, they wanted a qualified applicant to maintain a grade point average of 3.0 but the trades institute does not have a GPA for its students, he added
Diaz said AMIN will resolve this issue.
