Arts Council acting executive director Vincent M. Rabauliman confirmed the collaboration with PREL in his letter to Dr. Lori Phillips of the Pacific Center for Arts and Humanities in Education dated March 11, 2010.
In an earlier e-mail, Phillips told Rabauliman and DCCA Secretary Melvin O. Faisao that she is looking forward to discuss with them “support, funding and arts activities that are due to the CNMI as they are entities that actively work together in the Pacific Arts Councils.”
Faisao said the DCCA acknowledges the enthusiastic acknowledgement of PREL and endorses re-initiating effective collaboration.
He is hoping that Phillips’ consultation with the National Endowment for the Arts will provide incentives for more resources and technical assistance to the Art Council’s programs and services.
Rabauliman said the council is working with the governor’s special assistant for administration to fill up vacant positions.
