PSA presents March madness

They will also hold Easter Basket sale and Yard Sale and as part of the event.

Pool events will be featured on March 27 while the open swim competition will take place the next day.

Events are open for all ages from eight and under through the masters.

Registration is pegged at $5 for both pool competition and open ocean swim with a 50 percent discount to be paid by PSA members will start March 22 at the pool.

Easter Basket and Yard Sale fundraising for PSA goes on with baskets still on sale at $10 each that contains a variety of goodies and toys while PSA is calling people who needs help on recycling used but still good looking clothes, toys, furniture, books, etc. at a yard sale on April 10.

Squad criteria for PSA revealed as the PSA Board approved final measurement on deciding who will represent team Palau on the upcoming Micronesian Games and the Oceania Games. To be eligible for the Oceania squad, swimmers must achieve A level time on the PSA Swimming Ladder for ages 17 – 19 in at least 2 events. On the other hand, to be eligible for the Micro Games squad swimmers must achieve at least a B Level time in one event. For both squads, swimmers must maintain an 80 percent participation in practice. PSA will select up to 12 male and 12 female swimmers for Micro Games while they hope to send 4 top swimmers, 2 male and 2 female who holds a Palauan passport to Oceania competition.

And for this year’s Sports Awards dinner sponsored by PNOC, PSA has nominated the following for their federation. Female Athlete – Osisang Chilton, Male Athlete – Jam Domingo, Volunteer – Kristabel Gbewonyo, Technical Official – Madelsar Ngiraingas, Coach – Elizabeth Devore, Corporate Sponsor – Surangel and Sons, and Sponsor – Palau Pacific Resort.
