Public Health urges photographers to beat today’s deadline

Public Health program analyst Roxanne Diaz yesterday said  they had already received a good number of contributions from both professional and amateur photographers, but they will accept more photos.

Diaz said the 2010 Health Data Report will have more pages and sections compared to the 2008 issue.

The contributed photos must depict the community, people, culture and the islands and will be used on the cover and in the different sections of the booklet, which is produced every two years.

Suggested photo themes include CNMI Community, Mother and Child, Women of the Marianas, Elders, Children of the Marianas, Clean Beaches/Environment, Landscape (Rota, Tinian, Saipan, CNMI-wide), Landmarks, Island Life, Disease/Illness, Death, and others.

Diaz said no monetary compensation will be given to photographers whose photos will be chosen but they will be recognized.

Submissions can be e-mailed to [email protected] but photographers who cannot send their images electronically can submit their original photos with a title, name, mailing address, email address, and phone number to Diaz at the Public Health office. For more information, call Diaz at 236-8703/8201.
