Battle for survival rages on in Chamolinian softball

Calikano Falcons 18, San Roque 13 Navan who fired a two-run shot to hand the Calikano Falcons the lead in the top of the second inning, stole home base in the fourth to regain it after San Roque rallied to go past them in the third.

Jun Tenorio led off a single in the fifth, DJ Omar and Drew Magofna hit an RBI single apiece, then, Ben Cabrera knocked in a two-run single to pull the Falcons away again.

Manny Tenorio doubled for San Roque, Larry Roberts drove in a run with his sacrifice fly and Sid hit an RBI single to help the San Roque close in the bottom of the fifth, until Falcons’ centerfielder Ben Leon Guerrero caught the second fly ball to cut them short.

Magofna hit his second run-scoring single while Keoni Pua drove in a run with his sacrifice fly to widen the gap again in the top of the sixth.

Cepeda added an RBI single to cap the Falcons’ 18-13 victory over San Roque.

UR Balls 5, Hitz 1

Outfielder, Harlan Reyes caught two fly balls, center fielder, Marvin Kaipat intercepted a land drive and caught a fly ball as well, and pitcher Steve Igisomar struck out three as the UR Balls fielded Hitz to keep them scoreless in six straight innings to secure their 5-1 win.

Vincent Sablan Sablan Jr., tied the ball game in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring single.

Mike rocketed a solo shot in the third, Sablan fired his second RBI single and Kaipat drove in a run with his sacrifice to pull the UR Balls away.

The Hitz’ only run in the seventh inning was from Manny Cabrera’s sacrifice fly.

6-Pack 9, Ramblers 6

Lead off batter Max Kadisang opened the game with a solo home run, Ota Nobuyuki doubled, Dan Repeki tripled and Mike Pangelinan knocked-in an RBI single.

The Ramblers held 6-Pack scoreless in the second inning then, Smike Magofna tied the ball game with a two-run double.

Again, the Ramblers fielded 6-Pack in the third.

The 6-Pack defenders retaliated by keeping the Ramblers scoreless in three straight innings. Pangelinan and Blas

Magofna fired an RBI single apiece to strengthen their lead in the fifth.

Derrick Tudela’s two-run shot in the sixth stretched 6-Pack’s lead.

Ben Falig hit a two-run triple for the Ramblers and Tony Pangelinan drove in two runs with a home run but 6-Pack short stop Nobuyuki and second baseman Mel threw Tudela out to stop them.
