Letter to the Editor: Thank you

She said that corals are very important to us because they protect us from tsunamis and give homes and food to the fish.  She said that we shouldn’t destroy them because they take thousands of years to grow.

Ms. Brooke also told us how we can save corals.  What we can do is don’t step on corals, keep trash away from beaches, don’t fish with oil or Clorox, and don’t take corals from the water.  It is illegal to take corals without a permit.

During the presentation, we met Primo the Yellow Crowned Butterfly fish.  This fish is special because it’s only found in the Marianas.  It lives in the coral reefs deep in the ocean.

Thank you Ms. Brooke for your presentation.
