MOE given order to prioritize Math and Science

In a letter to Education Minister Masa-aki Emesiochl, dated June 18, said that his administration’s priorities is to “put more emphasis on the science and math courses” in the country’s educational system in the elementary and high school levels.

“I hereby request that you use your best effort to recruit teachers in the fields of sciences and math locally and abroad for the schools in the next school year.

To emphasize the importance of education, the president earlier visited all schools in the country.

The president said that his order is in line with one of the ten issues during the campaign that focuses on education and the children of Palau.

He said the children and their education “must be the first and enduring priority of pur government .’

“ They deserve the best health care, best education, and the best opportunities. The Palauan children are our most precious resource, and we owe it to them to ensure they reach their full potential because our future depends on them,” he said.
