The Republic of China Taiwan gave MOH $150,000 on June 8 to purchase two X-Rray machines for Belau National Hospital. On the same date, the United States Department of Health and Human Services (USDHHS) also turned over $176,773 to MOH as additional funding for its HIV prevention project.
On June 17, the MOH again received from USDHHS $60,000 to help fund its PW Emergency Health System Advance for registration of health professional program. On June 28, another $132,000 from USDHHS was received by the MOH to provide funding for its CISS-SECCS planning.
For its National Center for Chronic Disease program, MOH received another $205,000 worth of grants from USDHHS.
The biggest amount of grants that MOH received recently from USDHHS was $561,725, given on June 29, to provide funding for its National Breast Cancer program.
The only other agency aside from MOH that received a grant recently was National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration National Weather Service. The grant was from USDOC for a total of $343,06, given on June 15, to provide funding for its weather observation program in Palau.
