The first was on Chalan Pale Arnold in Gualo Rai on the outer southbound lane in front of the Coastal Resources Management Office, from 10:30 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
71 vehicles were checked and four active citations were issued to motorists. One was issued a citation for transporting minors under the age of 12 in the bed of a pickup and for not having a driver’s license in possession.
Two were issued citations for having faulty brake lights. One for not displaying license plates properly. No arrests were made.
The second sobriety checkpoint was conducted on Chalan Pale Arnold in Garapan on the outer southbound lane in front of the CNMI Museum. The checkpoint started at 1:30 a.m. and ended at 2:45 a.m.
During the operation a total of 41 vehicles were checked and four active citations were issued to motorists. One for not displaying license plates properly. Two were issued citations for seatbelt violations. One for speed violations. A 17-year-old biy was arrested and was charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance and for curfew violations.
Marianas Agupa to discuss zoning

Foremost donates 600 cases of milk
(Foremost Foods Saipan) –– Foremost Foods Saipan continue to share with the community its commitment to a healthy and fit lifestyle through its donation of Foremost milk, coinciding with its 60th year in the business.
Foremost Foods Saipan represented by Glen D. Hunter, group business manager, and Gerry Hemley, sales supervisor, donated 600 cases of milk to the manamko’, Commonwealth Health Center, Karidat, and Salvation Army.
Hunter said, “We are very excited about being able to help these various groups with our donation of Foremost milk. These groups do a lot for the community on a daily basis and it is great that we are able to give a little back to assist with their ongoing efforts.”
On Capital Hill, Rev. Wayne Gillespie, ministry leader, Salvation Army, welcomed the donation of 50 cases of milk. He said, “We are really happy to have received this donation of milk from Foremost. This is going to be a large contribution to our food assistance program.”
At the Manamko’ Center, a total of 200 cases of Foremost UHT milk were delivered in two batches that were received by Rosa Mondala, director, Office on Aging, as well as more than 50 congregates.
Mondala expressed her gratitude to Foremost. “I want to thank Foremost for thinking of us.” She also said she hopes other companies follow Foremost’s lead.
Mondala also explained the donation and reiterated the requirement for the aged at the center to consume milk. She told the elders, “Drink this milk. We need milk to get stronger.”
Teresita R. Sorosa, treasurer, Manamko’ Council said, “On behalf of the Manamko’ Council, we would like to thank Foremost for this generous donation.”
Speaking before the congregrates, Hemley said, “This is our way of giving back to the community for supporting us all these years.”
Moreover, the Commonwealth Health Center also twice received 100 cases Foremost UHT milk. On hand to receive the donation was Joe Tudela, food supervisor II for dietary unity. He said, “We really appreciate Foremost’s milk donation.”
A total of 150 cases of milk were received at the Karidat in two rounds of donation. Angie V. Deleon Guerrero, director, said, “We really appreciate the donation that Foremost made. We’ll also share this with the Manhoben.”
