Trinity Estate 87, Triple J 74

The Trinities ended with a bang in the fourth quarter, starting with Epi Cabrera who scored two consecutive three-pointers. Michael Palacios later fired a barrage of baskets which ultimately secured the Trinities’ lead in the game.

Palacios earned 14 points from the fourth quarter, with the highest individual score of 30 points.

The Triple Js’ best defense came in during the third quarter, when they allowed the Trinities to score only 15 points, compared to the 25 points they made in the first quarter and 23 from the second.

Triple J’s Felix Palacios and Teddy Bugay attempted to follow through with their team’s momentum by the fourth quarter, but they were outrun by Trinity’s Palacios.

DL Cooking Gas makes up for previous loss.

After suffering a loss from the PTCs, the DL Cooking Gases were more determined last Tuesday after defeating the Cargo Express by 71-64 at Gualo Rai Court.

Both teams came head-to-head throughout the game, but it was the final shots from DL Cooking Gas’ Jun Abedes and Danny Dayrit that decided the match.

The Cargo Express maintained a one-point lead by the beginning of the fourth quarter, but it was their constant misses that gave momentum to the DL Cooking Gases. The Cargo Express’ first lead came from the first quarter, scoring 20-16. The team had a firm offense until the fourth quarter, where they only scored 9 points.

The DL Cooking Gases made their first comeback during the second quarter, when they scored for a one-point lead. Their steady shooting was attributed to Jorge De Guzman, the game’s leading scorer with 23 points.
