The suspect was identified as Marcella Edboi while the victim was also identified as Timothy Singeru.
Based on the police report at around 12:40 a.m., unknown male Palauan called the police and reported a fight at the Ngirumerang residence.
Police immediately responded and further investigation disclosed that Edboi and Singeru were arguing and that the suspect got irked so he took a metal pipe and struck the victim’s head.
The victim sustained injuries on his head and was rushed to the hospital while the suspect was arrested.
A case of assault and battery with dangerous weapon is now being prepared against the suspect.
Meanwhile, a man was also arrested for reckless and obstruction of justice after he refused to cooperate with the police officer.
The man was identified as Reno Shmul, 29, male Palauan.
According to the police investigation at around 4:50 a.m. patrolling officers reported a car driving recklessly at the T-dock area in Meketti which almost hit the police vehicle.
Police officers were able to stop Shmul but he refused to cooperate. Police then discovered that the suspect was driving an unregistered vehicle. He was arrested and detained.
The case is under police investigation.
